With these two living and breathing all things ocean, it's no surprise that they decided to get married in the Keys, at the stunning Coconut Palm Inn. They had originally planned on getting married in September of this year, but I was beyond thrilled to get the phone call that the date was being *bump*ed up because someone new was going to join the party - and so we all gathered together on May 23rd and celebrated love and life under the sun.Read More
Man, engagement session season is BOOMING and we've been all over the state, capturing couples in love in old and new locations and dodging storms left and right. The forecast called for clear skies for Kelsi and Mike's engagement session, but Florida had a different opinion on what should happen that afternoon, and we were graced with a quick summer drizzle - just enough to get a handful of incredible umbrella photos that make my heart beat a little bit faster!Read More
The moment that I pulled up onto the property at the Sydonie Mansion in Mount Dora, Florida, I was taken aback by its incredible beauty and intricate details. Here's the best part - it just keeps getting better the further you go in! Gardens, fountains, archways, a curved stairwell, iron gates, and market lights are just some of the features that set the scene for quite the backdrop for a wedding. The forecast was grim - we knew we had a very wet day ahead of us. Lucky for us, everything still ended up absolutely magical.Read More
Not one cloud hung in the sky on this breezy (and rare) 80 degree perfect Florida day at The Acre Orlando for Cait & Michael's wedding, and Cait described their day as simple and neutral. Think greens, greys, and whites with minimal flowers (like bouquets only) and lots of greenery and white candles. Cait had only two bridesmaids, her sister and best friend (who, by the way, introduced the couple!) who prepped for the day with her in the incredible bridal suite. Palm trees swayed in the wind and every part of the day was thoughtful, including the compass and sundial gift from the bride to the groom, which made for an excellent ring shot!Read More
Ryan and Steve are the kind of couple that just elevate relationship goals to an entirely new level, but even more so, they resonate a sense of community and pride for the city that they live in and love: Orlando. I met these two thanks to one of my all time favorite couples, Chelsea and Christina (which, by the way, Ryan officiated that engagement party turned wedding!), and have spent the last year becoming friends with them and uniting in our love and pride for our community. We stood next to each other just over a year ago in vigil after the Pulse tragedy, strangers believing in the strength of love and embracing one another. This past weekend, we came together once more to capture their own beautiful love story, which paying a respectful tribute to the strength Orlando as a community found after devastation by creating one simple message amidst all of the incredible artwork around the city: L.O.V.E. W.I.N.S.Read More
Fast forward a few months to a beautiful day in April and we are taken to the perfect backdrop for this couple to promise each other their forever's at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida, a long standing landmark of the city. Stained glass windows and beautiful arched doorways greeted guests upon entrance.Read More
At least twice a year, I take my gear and head to my best friend's home to take photos of her beautiful growing family, and this time I was determined to give her something more than a pretty photo of her children. I wanted to give her the memories that as parents we sometimes wish we could just freeze in time. The way her son's tiny arms wrapped so tightly around her neck and how her daughter could pull off a shoe and stick it in her mouth in 15 seconds flat.Read More
I was thrilled when they reached out to me about capturing their own big day in March of next year, and I think all of my dreams may have come true in an instant when they emerged from their vehicles complete with a yellow umbrella, hoping to bring in a little HIMYM action into their session.Read More
It was a gorgeous sunny day on April 8th when AnnMarie and Steve said "I do" in an intimate beach wedding in front of family and friends after being together for the past 10 years. The two incorporated family into each part of their day, with AnnMarie's two bridesmaids being Steve's daughters, and Steve's two groomsmen were AnnMarie's sons. The Tropical Breeze Resort was truly a Florida Paradise with flamingo walls and beautiful palm trees - the ladies at Parties A'La Carte outdid themselves by creating a private beach oasis amidst the buildings!Read More
Leave it to the next Boeche sister to get married to create another all time favorite wedding for our team to capture - they had a beautiful venue that didn't need a whole lot of dressing up! Luscious greens, tall palm trees swaying in the wind, a grand estate filled with antique decor, and all with a view of the water, and all nestled in beautiful Miami, Florida. The Deering Estate truly is a paradise of a wedding venue.Read More
Mariel and Eric were married at the Shores Resort & Spa in a wedding that started out traditional and ended with epic cosplay!
We started early on a sunny morning at the Harbour House, where the ladies had the front half of the house, while the boys had the upstairs groom’s quarters. Mariel and Eric had actually started the day long before we arrived, though—they hadn’t been able to sleep the night before and ended up hanging out at 1 in the morning together as they were both brimming with excitement about the big dayRead More
Last year, I had an incredible engagement session (http://www.sophotography.us/blog/2016/2/9/a-love-affair-at-the-state-fair-chris-and-kristina-tampa-engagement-photographer) at the State Fair with Chris and Kristina, and I wasn’t sure much could top that session—that is, until we captured their wedding!
The weather was perfect for this wedding, with the sun glowing with an incredible force around their love that filled the lawns and gardens of the Palmetto Club with lush greens and delicate flowers.Read More
One of the sweetest friends I’ve ever known referred Emily and Michael to us, so I knew immediately that we would be great friends—and boy, was I right! We spent their engagement session bar-hopping, giggling, playing Jenga, and enjoying craft beers, so it was no surprise when they told me that their reception would be at the Ravenous Pig!Read More
The love that Daffnee and Mike have for each other is visible from the moment that you meet them. They are completely comfortable with themselves and with one another and are truly a perfect match! We spent the afternoon frolicking in the fields of Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Fl, chasing after a sunset that was definitely one to remember. I can't wait to get them in front of my lens again in February for their wedding!Read More
Lauren and Ryan’s stunning wedding took place in several historic places in downtown Orlando. They started by getting ready at both houses at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. Then we zipped down the road to St. James Cathedral for the official Catholic ceremony. From there, we bounced all around downtown Orlando for bride and groom portraits, finishing up at Stagger Inn, where they hopped up on top of the bar!Read More
Choosing the perfect pictures for your wedding album is no easy task, especially when there’s hundreds of incredible photos you can choose from. A few weeks (or months) after ever wedding, I get an email from one of my couples, asking me how on earth they are supposed to pick photos for their wedding albums, and while I've been sending a pretty sweet written guide, I thought it might be even sweeter as a blog (and with pictures!) Here is a guide on how to create a 20 spread wedding album.
Your wedding album will be your first family heirloom and it is important that your wedding day is represented in chronological order. From the getting ready part of the day, to your last dance and grand exit, all the important moments should be included in this gorgeous custom made book to preserve your memories.Read More
When these two met up with me for delicious donuts for their initial consultation and we got to know each other, I pitched the idea of their engagement session being at one of their favorite places on earth: the dog park at the beach. It's a place that they frequent often, and by the looks of it, Cooper (the pooch) sure knows his way around that beach! Sessions like these are definitely my favorite, because it is an opportunity to literally freeze time on some of the memories that they will definitely look back on later in life and remember with fondness. Before we were even halfway through, Kyle was saying how it was way more fun than he had thought it would be, and we laughed our way through an incredible sunset. A shoutout to Kimbo's MOH, Whitney, who played the roll of my assistant, and brother, who played with Cooper while I took pictures of his parents. :) I can't wait for their wedding in October!Read More
