Bonnie and Brian were married on April 30th, with a ceremony at the Winter Park Farmers Market followed by a reception at the Alfond Inn in Orlando, FL. I was joined by associate photographer Matt Agan and our new assistant Cole Morrow-Fagan.
These two were such a dream couple for us! Bonnie was clear from the initial consultation that they wanted the main focus of the day to be on photography—and by the time she told me that she wanted a first look, I had heart eye emojjis for days.
By the time the wedding day rolled around, I truly felt like I knew Bonnie, even though we didn’t get the chance to meet in person before then, because of all the correspondence we had been exchanging.
The two of them got ready at the Alford Inn, and we could hardly believe it when Bonnie mentioned that she had done her own hair and makeup—she looked stunning! The Inn itself made the perfect backdrop for the first look as well, and we were pleased with the amazing images we were able to capture of these two.
Brian especially loved the chance to do the first look and told me so after the wedding:
My favorite part of the day was the first look. A private space to see Bonnie for the first time created a much more intimate memory for just us, and I’m glad we chose to go with it.
They both added:
Having a first look was a fantastic idea and hands down one of our better wedding decisions. Seeing each other first in private made the moment extra special. It was an opportunity to for us to step back and take in the day, each other, and to just be ourselves.
From there, it was so much fun hanging out with the wedding party. With such a small wedding, it was no surprise how easily they all got along—and we just had a blast!
After that, we headed over to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market for a gorgeous ceremony, complete with a mind-of-its-own chiffon backdrop that thoroughly enjoyed wrapping itself around the couple on occasion. Then, we strolled down to downtown Winter Park for some more pictures before we headed back to the Farmer’s Market for the reception.
I loved what Bonnie had to say about their dance together:
After taking classes to manage Brian’s two left feet, we were ready to surprise our guests with some polished steps. When the time came, though, I was 100% content to go with plan B and not worry about any choreography. I was so happy to just enjoy the first quiet moment of being married in Brian’s arms – no one else in the world but the two of us.
Bonnie & Brian, thank you for allowing us to be part of this amazing day with you! It was so much fun to meet you in person and to have a blast taking pictures together!
