Liz and Sean were married on April 16th, with a ceremony at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and a reception at the Aloft Orlando Downtown. Courtney Gatchell was my partner shooter for this wonderful day.
These two were referred to us by Brittaney and Jamie. It’s always lovely to know that our work is appreciated enough to know that our couples trust us with their friends!
Liz and Sean are just one of those couples that make sense. When you see them together, they look as though they were always meant to be together. And when we asked them what they love about each other, their answers made us smile. Liz loves that Sean makes her laugh, and Sean loves her free spirit.
On the day of the wedding, when Courtney went to photograph the boys, she discovered them playing beer pong. I told Liz, and her reaction was, and I quote, “Good. That sounds exactly like something Sean would do.”
And then, after we had some seriously great laughs getting ready together, we had a first look with Liz’s dad that left everyone emotional. He is such a sweet man who wears his emotions right out in the open, and it was an honor to be there for such a tender moment.
Sean and Liz rented a party bus to take them to and from locations, so after the beautiful ceremony, we bounced all over Downtown Orlando! We had photos with their formal party in front of the Dr. Phillips Center, and those were probably the most important of all the pictures we took as we bounced around, because that’s where Sean proposed. He had the entire balcony COVERED in rose petals and candles and then dropped to one knee. So, of course, it made perfect sense to take pictures there—and then to have the reception right across the street at the Aloft!
Liz & Sean, thank you for letting us be part of this amazing day. You two are so full of life and fun, and we truly enjoyed spending the day with you. Congratulations!
