Last year, I had an incredible engagement session at the State Fair with Chris and Kristina, and I wasn’t sure much could top that session—that is, until we captured their wedding!
The weather was perfect for this wedding, with the sun glowing with an incredible force around their love that filled the lawns and gardens of the Palmetto Club with lush greens and delicate flowers. It was the perfect backdrop for Kristina’s delicate lace peekaboo dress and Chris’ sleek grey tux.
Kristina and Chris opted not to do a first look, but they did have a first touch. You could see all the stress drop away from Kristina as soon as she saw him from behind and they touched, back to back. Kristina was grinning uncontrollably as soon as she heard his voice, and they silently read their vows together before they went out to the ceremony for the big “I do” on the lawn and unified their love with a Unity Cross.
After that, it was off to the action-packed reception! Kristina had a choreographed dance with her dad, which she was so excited about beforehand. Kristina is a “daddy’s girl” and loves being goofy with her dad, so the two of them had both looked forward to nailing their dance to some of their favorite songs.
Chris also got to dance with his mother and Kristina, and it was his favorite moment of the whole day. These were the two most important women in his life—and on top of that, he’s a pretty good dancer, so the whole thing turned out wonderfully.
For this wedding, I got to switch to the role of “guest” during the reception while my team, Matt & Andy, captured the rest, and it was a blast getting to shake my booty out on the dance floor right next to Chris and Kristina! They truly feel like family, and I loved being part of their day.
Kristina & Chris, thank you for letting me be part of your celebrations! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
