I fell head over heels in love with The Gambill Estate last year when I was fortunate enough to capture a vintage-glam inspired wedding with one of my favorite couples of all time, so when another couple reached out to me about capturing their day at the same venue, I was amped from the get-go. As I would come to find out, this bride in particular might certainly be my spirit animal twin and the day they were planning was absolutely dreamy. Adleigh and David added boho-inspired decor (including a teepee), transforming the venue into a whimsical wonderland of folk-love.Read More
The bride for this stunning wedding at the Old Mill in Rose Valley, PA, was once a bridesmaid in one of our favorite Keys weddings of all time, featuring some of my favorite people on earth, Nikki and Matt. Nicolette reached out to me after getting a chance to see our team in action, and chatted with me about the visually stunning wedding she was planning with her long time love, Sean. One quick goole search on the Old Mill and I was daydreaming for days. The year flew by and before I knew it, I was stepping off a plane, eager to capture all of the authentic moments of the upcoming wedding.Read More
John and Molly are not your average couple - romance lingers around the two of them as though they were living an actual fairy-tale! From the bride and groom's very own words:
"John and Molly's story goes all the way back to high school when John played the drums in the high school band and Molly was his drum major. Fast forward seven years (after undergraduate degrees from UCF, adventures across the country with drum corps, securing jobs, and acquiring some four-legged friends) when John contacted Molly via social media. After dating for several weeks, John asked Molly to be his girlfriend on April 16th and both their lives were forever changed for the better. Three years later on their dating anniversary, John proposed at Cinderella's Wishing Well at the Magic Kingdom to a resounding YES! John and Molly now welcome their friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate with them as they join together in friendship, united forever in love. "
With a story like that, it's no wonder the sun was glowing all through their engagement session! As their pooches are their children, of course they had to participate in the photos! Pumbaa even stood still long enough for John to gently place the engagement ring right between his ears! We had glass slippers, Mouse balloons, and an incredible sunset - what more could anyone need?
After such an amazing session together, we can't wait for the fairy-tale to continue at their wedding this December!
Alex and Larry were married on April 3rd in a beautiful wedding at the Winter Park Racquet Club.
Some weddings and couples will forever stick out in my mind. Sometimes, it’s because of a ceremony table crashing into the bridesmaids from some gusty winds—and other times, it’s something about the couple. This time, it was the way Alex and Larry looked at each other. It wasn’t how Alex glowed like a freaking angel or how SO much thought was poured into every detail (like flowers and desserts from every country they were going to visit on their honeymoon) or the way the sun made everything sparkle just a little bit—it was the way they looked at each other like they were the luckiest people in the entire world.Read More
Michael and Rose were married on April 2nd, with a ceremony and reception at the Cypress Grove Estate House. These two are friends of one of my newly-married couples, Brittaney and Jameson. It’s always wonderful to be able to connect with old couples—and to know that they liked us enough to let their friends hire us!
When I met up with Rose on the day of the wedding, she was worried sick. The weather forecast was grim—it was supposed to storm ALL day. She was devastated, because her dreams of having beautiful photos in the outside greenery were diminishing in front of her. But—always thinking of ways to make the day easier for my couples—I arrived armed with over half a dozen clear umbrellas. There were enough for each couple in the formal party as well as the bride and groom.Read More
Vera and TJ have already spent a decade loving each other, so it is no surprise that this private, chic wedding at Armani's inside Grand Hyatt Tampa, with rooftop views of the Bay and Tampa, ran so very smoothly! From elegant white accents to too cute cake toppers, everything about their day was perfect!Read More
When I first met Mandy (way back in my freshman at College days...), I couldn't help but think immediately that she was one of the sweetest people I had ever met! Fast forward a decade and this lovely lady is getting hitched! She and Jimmy met up with me at Dubois Park in Jupiter, Florida, for a gorgeous sunset engagement session that was filled with good, old fashioned, fun! I can't wait for their wedding in August!Read More
I loved Kristina from the moment I met her - it was the way that she swindled a restaurant into serving her a mimosa when they supposedly didn't serve alcohol. Or, maybe it was the way that she was sweet to everyone and basically everything she said was hilarious. Maybe I can't pinpoint the exact reason I loved Kristina from the beginning, but I distinctly remember telling my boyfriend later "Chris is an idiot. Why hasn't he proposed to her, yet? She's AWESOME."
Well, Chris wised up and dropped down on one knee at the tail end of last year! When she mentioned taking the engagement photos at the state fair, I thought to myself "how so very perfect for them!" because in my head, this is a couple who is always laughing and having fun - and that, is exactly how I wanted to capture their engagement: as a joyous occasion. We spent the afternoon darting in and out of rides, indulging on ice cream and corn, and playing like big 'ol children. The result are these FABULOUS lifestyle engagement photos at the Florida State Fair.Read More
This wedding was extremely special to me as it was not only the union of two very close friends of mine, but a Snaps by SO team member getting married! After I stopped the gorgeous Susu in her tracks at a wedding I was shooting several years ago and begged for a chance to take photos of her, the then introduced me to and recommended her boyfriend at the time, Matt, to become one of my team members. I'm so grateful that she did because I couldn't imagine him NOT being on my team, and it led to an extremely close friendship between all of us. On our very first car ride together (almost two years ago now!) Matt told me how much he loved Susu and that he wanted to put a ring on it, move her in, and put a baby in her belly. Fast forward to 2015 when he did all of those things! Right after they landed on a date for their wedding they found out that Susu was expecting. I didn't think it was possible for Susu to be any more beautiful, and then I saw her pregnant. They were very untraditional in that they got ready together and left me plenty of time to take all of their gorgeous photos BEFORE their ceremony. The best part was when they revealed Susu to her son, Urielito. He thought she looked so beautiful! The three of them walked down the aisle together, untied as a family. Congratulations to the two love birds and thank you for entrusting me to capture the special moments!Read More
When Kimberly first contacted me and told me that she had loved one of my previous clients' photos and that she was on the hunt for an engagement photographer, I was honored to be the one who got the phone call! Then when she mentioned her fiance was a avid fisherman and they wanted to incorporate his boat... well, this little mer-tographers tail was swishing around in excitement! I'll take any excuse to get in the water for the perfect vantage point for a photo! We spent Halloween frolicking around in the water, talked all about their families and upcoming wedding, and finished the shoot with a nice dip in the water - resulting in an absolutely perfect nautical engagement shoot! I can't wait for their wedding next year!Read More
When Caitlin first contacted me and expressed her love of Star Wars and told me that she was going to incorporate it into her wedding I knew I HAD to be their photographer - luckily we bonded instantaneously and she felt the same way! Her fiance Leo flew in from Austin (where she will be joining him after the wedding) for their engagement shoot, which we did in St. Augustine, Florida. They brought along custom light sabers. Naturally, we had a saber fight (or two).Read More
I've got to hand it to Sherry - she made my creative juices explode when I met with her outside of a Starbucks on a chilly afternoon when she told me that she wanted to have a MIDNIGHT wedding - that's right, midnight! She followed up with she really wanted to do a First Look, and that she figured if she did the first look and the ceremony at 12:01 AM, then she wouldn't TECHNICALLY have seen her groom on the day of her wedding. Sneaky, sneaky! Not only did they enjoy a ceremony under twinkle lights in a gorgeous garden, their reception venue used to be an airplane hangar so they surprised their guests by having the side of the house OPEN during the reception to reveal them having their first dance! We couldn't help but snap a few shots of the guests' awesome reactions. Congratulations to Sherry and Chris and thank you for having us!Read More
