The bridesmaids dresses were in pastel hues of purple and green, which went beautifully with the soft pink and white florals and decorations. Summer simply just isn't summer without at least one engagement session on the beach! After weeks of rain and terrible weather, the sun was finally shining for this engagement session in New Smyrna Beach. It was my favorite beach growing up in Central Florida and it's still one of my favorite beaches to this day. This session is basically every beach scene in every romantic love movie, rolled into one.Read More
Daffnee and Mike are two people who rekindle your faith in love and relationships, because the two fit together like peanut butter and jelly (or honey or bananas, depending your personal taste) and the way they hold eye contact is what photographer dreams are made of. They chose October Oaks Farm as their venue, and Daffnee brought her elegant and chic touches to the rustic barn, creating an elegant romance among candlelight. It was a sunny, gorgeous day when I arrived on property - the girls were getting ready in the bridal house, and I am pretty sure I squealed when I saw Daffnee's fitted lace racer-back, deep V with lace cut outs gown. Mike had a little gift dropped off to his bride to be, and we all got ALL THE FEELS when she opened one of the most thoughtful (yet simple) gifts, ever. #groomgoalsRead More
Every couple that I work with holds a special place in my heart, and every now and again there are two people who are so destined to be together, it takes my breath away. Katie and Nathan are one of those couples. I bonded deeply with the two of them, drawn to their kind nature and beautiful love for each other and all things literary - which combined with flowers, lots and lots of color, was their theme for their day. After months of excitement and planning, the day finally came and I couldn't have been more excited to see their vision come to life!Read More
Amanda and Sean are one of those couples that you truly just enjoy to be around - the ease in which they are 100% themselves around each other is contagious, and it's really hard not to have fun. When I pitched the idea of a not-so-traditional engagement session involving yummy beer and food trucks, I was thrilled that they jumped on the opportunity to spend the evening sticking the engagement ring in all of our favorite treats! A former resident of the Milk District, Taste Tuesdays have a special place in my heart, and I'm so thrilled that these two were willing to get ridiculous in public with me to really showcase how fun sessions can be.Read More
Casey and Daralyn were married on October 28th, with a beautiful ceremony and reception at Paradise Cove.
This particular venue is known throughout Orlando for creating an entire experience of a wedding, not just for simply being a location. That was certainly the case here, as even the weather seemed to be with us. A beautiful breeze kept guests feeling cool on the beachy lakefront, while tall palm trees created an impeccable backdrop, complete with a beached canoe filled with ice and beer.Read More
When Chelsea and Christina approached me to tell me that they wanted to cancel their wedding and surprise everyone at the engagement party instead, I was totally on board. I kept the secret for months, planning and plotting alongside them, eager for the moment to arrive. And then on Saturday, friends and family gathered to celebrate their love and were stunned when in the middle of the party they announced that they were all gathered to witness their marriage, instead. Tears flowed, cell phones recorded, and two people had the celebration of a lifetime.Read More
Jenny and Ivan eloped on a gorgeous May Sunday when they went out for a hot air balloon ride with Painted Horizons Hot Air Balloons. While we talked, I learned that Ivan had originally planned to propose to Jenny on a hot air balloon ride, but after they discovered she was pregnant, obviously, they had to put that plan on hold. “But that was such a good idea!” I cried out, and then I added, “We can totally reenact how it was SUPPOSED to happen after you have the baby.” I suggested doing an engagement session on the balloons as soon as Jenny was ready to hop on a balloon after the baby, and they seemed to like the idea.Read More

Michael and Rose were married on April 2nd, with a ceremony and reception at the Cypress Grove Estate House. These two are friends of one of my newly-married couples, Brittaney and Jameson. It’s always wonderful to be able to connect with old couples—and to know that they liked us enough to let their friends hire us!
When I met up with Rose on the day of the wedding, she was worried sick. The weather forecast was grim—it was supposed to storm ALL day. She was devastated, because her dreams of having beautiful photos in the outside greenery were diminishing in front of her. But—always thinking of ways to make the day easier for my couples—I arrived armed with over half a dozen clear umbrellas. There were enough for each couple in the formal party as well as the bride and groom.Read More
I am still SWOONING over this insanely beautiful engagement session at Wekiva Springs State Park last night! Wekiva is one of my favorite parks to camp, hike, and explore with my one year old, and I've been waiting for the right couple that would be down for a hike (and maybe some bug bites? Sorry about that, Teddy!) and then Morgan contacted me about capturing her upcoming wedding on New Years Eve - and as it turns out, they were that couple for me! You guys, this cute as can be couple grew up in the same town their whole lives and went to all the same schools - although it wasn't until Morgan was a senior in High School and Teddy was a Freshman in College finally linked up during a game of hide-and-seek (I know, could this be more of a fairy tale? I think not.) and have been together for EIGHT YEARS since! Teddy is in Officer Training School for the Air Force and so we squeezed in their engagement session on one of his quick trips home and it was everything I had hoped a session at Wekiva would be like, and more.Read More
It's now been close to two years that I've been on a fabulous journey with Brittaney and Jamie, from meeting them, to capturing their engagement, to becoming close friends, to shooting and then attending their absolutely stunning wedding at the Peach Tree House in Orlando, Florida. Her dreams of whimsy and peaches came true thanks to the fabulous ladies over at Busy Bee Events (affectionately known as "the Bee's"), and although Florida weather threw a curveball at us by pretending to monsoon on their wedding day, at the very last minute the skies cleared and the sun erupted to shine on Brittaney and Jamie on their special day. Come take a walk around this beautiful venue with us.Read More
If you haven't figured out yet that I absolutely LOVE love, you're about to. At a recent Bridal shower for a good friend and favorite client, Brittaney, I struck up a conversation with said clients sister's (Chelsea) girlfriend (Christina) (are ya following me, here?) only to find out she was planning on proposing to her girlfriend! I pounced immediately and we began discussing strategy with Chelsea standing only feet away! Good thing she was so distracted doing the whole sister thing that she didn't hear us planning her dream proposal! Christina and I met in advance to decide where she should actually do the popping of the question and to scout out a good hiding place for me.
And then today finally arrived! The day we've been scheming about (oh, and for the record, Brittaney and basically everyone Chelsea knew this was happening... except her, of course!)! I donned on all black and took my place in the bushes and then thought to myself "oh, shit! what if someone sees me and decides to confront me right as Christina is proposing?!". Luckily no one did such a thing and our plan went off without a glitch! I was so honored to be there for this moment in their lives! Wonderfully for me, Christina even shared the champagne that she brought to celebrate with!Read More
It was a beautiful overcast day in Orlando on the 24th of November at the Cypress Grove Estate House and all of us were budding with excitement for the wedding of Samantha and Chris. Soft, romantic flowers and golden accents were everywhere - and the couple even had a popcorn bar! I have known Chris for several years and was beyond honored when he contacted me about capturing he and Samantha's special day. After meeting her, I instantly knew that they were perfect for each other! It was an honor to be there for their joyous occasion!Read More
