The Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall in Sanford, Florida is one of our FAVORITE Orlando wedding venues, and it was perfect for Lauren and Sam’s day this past Saturday. These lovebirds have a love story straight out of a Nicholas Parks: she’s a police officer, he’s a firefighter, they met on the scene of the crime. Yes, seriously. The bride and groom both got ready at Venue 1902, where they have huge suites for both parties. While I was taking the detail shots, a gust of wind blew up the bride’s dress and made it absolutely magical!
The guys had a good time getting ready in their suite down the hall, lounging until it was time for the big moment.
Lauren and Sam kept things traditional, choosing to see each other for the first time down the aisle and keeping all of their portraits to cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed a soft breeze under the large trees of the venue’s back lawn on a beautiful cloudy afternoon while they watched the couple say “I DO!” to forever. We absolutely loved that the bride chose to have her bridesmaids in stunning little black dresses, and included all the family in their formal party!
Venue 1902 has SO MANY beautiful backdrops inside and out, I could take portraits for hours and likely STILL find another place I wanted to take more; it is incredibly versatile. To add the cherry on top, these two were crazy in love with each other and brought all of the romance.
And in the sentiments of the guests…
The guests certainly had no problem finding that bar – the reception at Venue 1902 was a blast with guests dancing alongside the bride and groom until the very last moment! A sweet doggie-bag station was set up for all the pup-lovers (us included!), and our favorite part of the night was when Lauren and Sam decided to have a private last dance as all the guests lined up for that sparkler exit.
