I am still SWOONING over this insanely beautiful engagement session at Wekiva Springs State Park last night! Wekiva is one of my favorite parks to camp, hike, and explore with my one year old, and I’ve been waiting for the right couple that would be down for a hike (and maybe some bug bites? Sorry about that, Teddy!) and then Morgan contacted me about capturing her upcoming wedding on New Years Eve – and as it turns out, they were that couple for me! You guys, this cute as can be couple grew up in the same town their whole lives and went to all the same schools – although it wasn’t until Morgan was a senior in High School and Teddy was a Freshman in College finally linked up during a game of hide-and-seek (I know, could this be more of a fairy tale? I think not.) and have been together for EIGHT YEARS since! Teddy is in Officer Training School for the Air Force and so we squeezed in their engagement session on one of his quick trips home and it was everything I had hoped a session at Wekiva would be like, and more.
We got in the water, we hiked, we hammocked, we frolicked through fields, and literally had the best afternoon together! None of which was complete without a cool new behind the scenes shot, thanks to our new team member, Megan!
After their epic engagement session, I can say that I cannot wait for their NYE wedding later on this year! Congratulations to Morgan and Teddy on your engagement and I can’t wait to capture all of your special moments together as you venture into this new adventure together.
