Paradise Cove Wedding in Orlando, Florida | April and Alex

Paradise Cove Wedding in Orlando, Florida | April and Alex

It was a beautiful, breezy day in February when April and Alec vowed to love each other unconditionally in front of family and friends at one of our favorite (and most frequent) venues, Paradise Cove. I love having an opportunity to capture several weddings at the same location because I am able to soak in new favorite locations and routines at places in which I frequent – opening the book for constant creativity and beauty. April described their wedding day as pretty much perfect, with a little bit of whimsical.

One thing was certain about Kelsi and Mike – these two are not just in love with each other, they are absolutely best friends. After a little push from the internet, they found in each other the perfect hiking, brunch, and brewery partner in crime, and on January 28th, they said “I DO!” to forever in front of their family and friends in the heart of Winter Park, Florida. They brought a theme of rustic chic winter to life by creating their own centerpieces and brewed their own beer for their wedding day, and Kelsi’s dad went above and beyond by making the Unity Cross, seating chart, and wood for the centerpieces.

Orange County Regional History Center Wedding | Ryan and Steve

Orange County Regional History Center Wedding | Ryan and Steve

I am one of the most fortunate wedding photographers in existence, for each of my clients truly turn into forever friends. In June of 2016, days after the PULSE tragedy that forever rocked the city of Orlando, we met for the first time amongst the city streets, filled with people mourning for their community and lost loved ones. We cried together and comforted each other, before we even learned each other’s names. Later, we connected the dots through our mutual friends, and met once more under the best of circumstances, as our friends surprised everyone they knew by getting married at their engagement party – and Ryan happened to be the officiant. Since then, I have gotten to see these boys rather regularly and our friendship grew over time. When they got engaged, my heart soared because I knew that they were the kind of couple that would make it until the end together. The opportunity to capture their story has not only been an absolute pleasure, but a true honor. True lovers of the city of Orlando and history buffs, they put together an unforgettable event themed around Orlando City Soccer mixed with the early 1900’s Americana and classic American look – and man, did they pull it off!
