Elysia and Jake’s Tuscan inspired Bella Collina wedding in Monteverde, Florida, just outside of Orlando, was one that we had been looking forward to for over an entire year – especially after their engagement session in Miami. They built upon the romance of Tuscany with white and green florals, accenting the venue with white and blush roses and delicate greenery. The girls arrived in gorgeous robes that matched their flowy Dessy bridesmaids gowns, ready to celebrate! Elysia chose a STUNNING low back Eddy K bridal gown and wore her hair loosely pinned around her face, layering on a touch of whimsical to her look.
For special touches, Elysia made sure to have a special private first look with her father, adding in a surprise in his jacket pocket which brought him to tears.
Jake and his men got ready on the other side of the property, where they were able to watch the game from the convenience of the mens locker room. The guys looked sharp in all black, a perfect compliment to the ladies gowns!
The next part of the day, the first look, turned out to be the bride’s favorite! She reminisced fondly:
“It’s hard to choose, but I’d have to say the first look. Especially since we did it as the storm was rolling in. We had just found out that our ceremony was moving to weather backup, so the rest of the day was unpredictable. I knew I still wanted to have that special moment together before the ceremony. Running over to my groom, not caring about the wind and and rain messing up my hair and finally putting my arms around Jake made me instantly feel at peace and the biggest wave of happiness. It reminded me that no matter what the day threw at us, I was going to marry my best friend. After this moment, the day was pure joy.”
Large formal parties always equal unprediTheir ceremony was moved from the lawn to Bella Collina’s atrium, along with their stunning gorgeous floral archway. Guests were able to enjoy listening to the lovebirds promise each other forever and stay dry, and it gave the ceremony an incredibly intimate feeling.
The unpredictable weather of the day allowed us an opportunity to take Elysia and Jake away at several points of the day and capture their Bella Collina wedding at its absolute finest! The love these two shared for each other could be felt all throughout the day, and it was such a joy to capture it all! We may have been dodging thunderstorms, but we got an EPIC sunset to make up for it.
Guests danced the night away in Bella Collina’s glass window ballroom and Elysia hired an artist to do a live painting of their first dance. The bride planned a special surprise for her dad, uncles and cousin by having them dance to the YMCA in Village People props – a longstanding inside joke with her family. The night concluded with a stunning sparkler exit, and then the pair was whisked off into forever.

A HUGE thank you to all of the vendors that helped make this day happen!
