After getting to know adventure enthusiasts Brittni and Colin during their initial consultation, I knew that there was only one place for their Harry Potter Engagement Session: Blowing Rocks Preserve. If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you already know this is one of my favorite hidden Florida gems and I absolutely love to showcase it with a couple that is madly in love. The (then) tropical storm Humberto threatened to rain on our parade, but a solid rain dance got it to stay completely offshore. The hike to and from the location was filled with laughter and amusement despite the sometimes challenging terrain, and we were rewarded with crashing waves against the beautiful rock formations.
About halfway through the Harry Potter Engagement session, Brittni gasped and revealed that she had brought along props (and had forgotten all about them), which just so happened to be Harry Potter wands and books! Saying I squealed would be an understatement, but I knew I had to get a shot of Brittni levitating her fiancé; luckily for me, Colin is an excellent jumper!
Fellow nerds: please always express yourself with fun props like these, I promise we love it even more than you do! Once we were done chatting all things Harry Potter (and in which book exactly Snape says “always”), it was back to engagement business, and blowing rocks simply didn’t disappoint. We’re so thankful to have been a part of this Harry Potter Engagement Session and congratulations again to Brittni and Collin!
