Tis the season for Kraft Azalea Gardens engagement photos and the weather and sunsets have been absolutely AMAZING in Central Florida! I have a lot of beautiful personal memories at Kraft Azalea Gardens and always feel especially sentimental when I get a chance to wander through the tall trees and capture couples in love. Kyle and Mariela wanted a mixture of colorful architecture and a stunning waterfront sunset, so I suggested that we start their session in the colorful and quirky alleyways of Winter Park and then finish up with engagement photos at Kraft Azalea Gardens.
Kyle and Mariela met and experienced love at very first sight and have been inseparable from their first date. The lovebirds love to laugh more than anything else, so we spent the majority of the session making jokes and having a grand old time.
One of the things I love most about downtown Winter Park is the constant variety of backdrops available for cute engagement photos – hidden stairwells, flower gardens, and brick walls are just some of the sweet hidden secrets of the sleepy little town. At Kraft Azalea, one of my favorite spots is the Rollins Boat Dock that’s attached to the side of the gardens. Not only are you able to snag THE BEST seat in central Florida for a beautiful sunset, but it’s a floating dock with no railings, making everything twice as romantic. As the sun began to set, I begged Kyle and Mariela to stay just a littttttle bit longer so that we could snag a few silhouettes during the orange and pink sunset that crept across the lake.
We were SO LUCKY and had the entire park (and dock!) to ourselves for sunset! We can’t wait for their wedding at Dubsdread in a few months!
