Janel and Jordan’s Venue 1902 wedding was timeless and modern. The bridesmaids were in romantic tones of dusty rose and the groomsmen wore fitted black tux’s; the florals and reception decor looked elegant with white flowers, lush greenery, wooden chairs, and hints of gold.

These two lovebirds have a connection a lifetime strong, having met for the first time in middle school; they didn’t know it then, but in 2012 a love of fitness would reconnect Janel and Jordan. It was love at first sight the second go-round and in the bride’s own words, they “haven’t left each other’s side ever since”.

On a beautiful and breezy Sunday afternoon in October, Janel and Jordan welcomed their friends and family to celebrate their marriage at the stunning new Orlando wedding venue, Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall in Sanford, Fl. The venue is a schoolhouse that has been restored to be a STUNNING urban wedding and event venue, complete with large windows, wood floors, market lights, exposed brick, and massive getting ready rooms for BOTH the bride and the groom … and those are just some of the amazing features!

When it was time for Jordan to get dressed in his custom-made grooms suit, we pulled him into one of the vacant older classrooms that had absolutely incredible window light. Janel and Jordan chose to have a first look and see each other before the ceremony so that they could enjoy a slower pace throughout the day and enjoy their cocktail hour and reception with family and friends. Jordan’s tears and Janel’s mom watching from the window were absolutely priceless moments.

The couple had their intimate ceremony on the backside of the building with the fall sunlight filling the courtyard, and celebrated their unity with a tree ceremony using soil from both of their childhood homes.

We were immediately obsessed with venue 1902’s indoor reception space, where wooden floors, white walls, and chandeliers set the tone for an elegant yet rustic feel. Janel and Jordan added touches of literature and simple greenery to their wedding decor to personalize the space.
