This Deering Estate wedding in Miami, Florida is a beautiful venue that didn’t need a whole lot of dressing up! We loved being able to create another all-time favorite wedding for us to celebrate the next Boeche sister. Luscious greens, tall palm trees swaying in the wind, a grand estate filled with antique decor, and all with a view of the water, and all nestled in beautiful Miami, Florida. The Deering Estate truly is a paradise of a wedding venue.

Chris and Rachel’s story began several years ago when they met through Rachel’s best friend and MOH, Linda (who, by the way, gave one hell of a MOH speech that night!), who graciously set the two up and literally created their happily ever after. The couple loves spending time on their boat and fishing, so it’s no surprise that they picked the Deering Estate as it is right on the water.

They got ready at separate houses, choosing to keep things traditional and not seeing each other before the actual ceremony, and probably one of my favorite moments of the day was when Rachel had a first look with her dad. Tears were in both of their eyes and I just loved the way she fixed his tie ever so gently.

A breeze kicked in during the ceremony which felt incredible with the summer sun shining between the clouds in the sky. Diann, Rachel’s mom, played a little April Fools Day joke on the couple by having the officiant bust out a cigar during the ceremony, which definitely created some giggles amongst the crowed. The couple chose to unite their love by planting a tree together – something the nature lover in me absolutely loves.

We took the portraits all around the estate, taking advantage of all the different looks the ground gave us – and if it weren’t for the whole reception thing, I probably would have spent all night taking photos of these two!

Speaking of the reception, the rest of the Boeche siblings pounced on the opportunity to snag the open mic and serenaded the newlyweds with an infamous Boeche rap, something that has quickly become a trend since Rachel and Lauren did one at Dannielle’s wedding. Everyone then took the party inside the estate, dancing the night away until it was time to send them off via the fiber-optic tunnel!

We asked the couple if they had any words of advice for couples planning their big day, and here’s what they said: “It sounds so cliche, but just try to absorb as much memory of the day as possible! Don’t worry about any of the details, because you honestly won’t even remember the details. Focus on what matters, because that’s what you’ll want to remember. “
